Here are six photos I took at the launching of Carifesta X infront the bank of Guyana.

Forty Rock/Heavy Metal bands in cluding local band StruckRoot are competing in Battle of the Bands in Brazil. I'm happy to report that StruckRoot is one of the four finalist.

At the ending of 2007 StruckRoot moved to Brazil in the interest of furthering their music career.

Also, I'm happy to report they have hooked up with Rawle Staunton second guitarist and co-song writer for th now defuncted Pearls to Swine to fill in as bass. For some time the band had strugled with out a bassman.

Anyone who knows me can tell you I always have a camera with
me no matter where I am and the liberal use of water during Phagwa wasn’t going
to stop me. I fashioned a water proof case out of a zip lock bag, silicon gasket
sealant and paper tape so I could get the following photos.

Many countries have their traditions around Christmas time and so do we. Merry Christmas everyone.

I’d really love to know where the origin of this word came from “metallist”

Every time someone discovers that you’re into heavy metal they always ask “are you a metallist?” or say “I didn’t know you’re a metallist” I really hate that!
