Sometime around 2004, Raval Online was created by Raval Seojattan to serve as a personal photo gallery where he could share his photos with friends and family.

 

Since the website was a collection of memories of Raval's life the name Raval Online was a natural choice.

 

As Raval's interest in photography grew he wanted to use his website for a more meaningful purpose. 

 

Guyana is a beautiful country, but it's also a poor one, and it can be a challenging country to live in. Sometimes those challenges make it difficult for us to remember all that is great about this country,

 

Today the purpose of Raval Online is to showcase all that is wonderful and interesting about Guyana to the world, and also to remind Guyanese how beautiful and special their homeland is.

If you rather the basics: Guyana is the only English speaking country in South America; Its surrounded by Venezuela to the west, Suriname to the east, Brazil to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the north, and has a population somewhere around 500,000.
